Updating your Company Logo

By default, the portal will use your standard company logo in Viewpoint.

Setting up a Standard Company Logo

To set-up your standard company logo in Viewpoint, go to Headquarters -> Programs -> HQ Company Setup. In the tab "Add'l Info" under "Company Logo" you should be able browse and select your logo. 

You may have to re-start your portal web application pool in IIS to have this show up right away, or just wait about 30 minutes and it will do it itself. 

Displaying a Different Company Logo

To display a different logo, you can specify an override file by attaching an image to the HQ Company record in Viewpoint.

  1. Navigate to Document Management > Programs > DM Attachment Types.

  2. Create a new attachment type for Company Logo's and note the Attachment Type ID.  (typically starts with 50###)



  3. Open the form HQ Company Setup.

  4. Select the Company you wish to change the logo to and click the attachment button. 

 

5. Attach the logo you wish to use to represent the company.  

6. Set the attachment type of the image to the type setup in step 2.

 

7. In the portal, navigate to the Portal Settings, Administration / Initial Setup, and modify the "Company Logo Attachment Type ID" setting to the Attachment Type ID from step 2.

8. Restart your portal web application pool in IIS.

NOTE: You may need to add VA Attachment Type Security in order to modify the attachment. 

 

Displaying a Different Thumbnail Logo

To display a different logo, you can specify an override file by attaching an image to the HQ Company record in Viewpoint.

  1. Navigate to Document Management > Programs > DM Attachment Types.

  2. Create a new attachment type for Company Thumbnail's and note the Attachment Type ID.  (typically starts with 50###)



  3. Open the form HQ Company Setup.

  4. Select the Company you wish to change the logo to and click the attachment button. 

 

5. Attach the logo you wish to use to represent the company.  

6. Set the attachment type of the image to the type setup in step 2 (50011 in this example)

7. In the portal, navigate to the Portal Settings, Administration / Initial Setup, and modify the "Thumbnail Logo Attachment Type ID" setting to the Attachment Type ID from step 2.

8. Restart your portal web application pool in IIS.

NOTE: You may need to add VA Attachment Type Security in order to modify the attachment.
